I hired a so called carpenter from a Craigslist ad named Joey Beck claiming he was the owner of BEKMODE Remodeling and was quite capable for doing the small project I had. He came to my home and took measurements and my requirements and said he "could knock it out in a week". He gave me a crude receipt not professional at all and required I pay him $125.00 cash deposit which I did.
A week later he e-mailed me a rough sketch of what he wanted to do which was not like we originally discussed. I told him the changes I wanted and several days later he came up with and even more crude sketch (looked like a child drew). I e-mailed him telling him what I didn't like and to change and no further responses from him for another week. On 10/15/13 I got this response back from him after going to his home made website to try and contact him there since he would not respond to my e-mails from his original reply to my Craigslist post.

I got a message from our main office that your requested verification that I am the owner of BEKMODE. As I have assured your before we have built our company on a reputation of integrity, quality, and fairness. However, you still seem to have many concerns about our ability and willingness to honor the agreement we have with you. We therefore feel that it would not be in BEKMODE's best interest to continue with your project. We hereby effectively and immediately cancel our agreement with you.
Any amounts BEKMODE incurs for non-refundable materials purchased in your behalf or for material restocking fees will be deducted from your deposit. Please allow seven to ten business days for your refund to arrive in the mail.

So he plans to deduct so called non-refundable materials and restocking fees from my cash deposit after he cancelled this not me. Do NOT trust these people.
