Please, Please, Please...

Do not move to the Berkshire of Dunwoody f/k/a The Pines of Dunwoody. The apartments look nice. Don't let that fool you!

Management believes in charging additional rent fees and not providing tenants with an invoice to justify charges. Then they file dispossessary warrants against the tenants if you don't comply with their ripping you off!!!!???

Your apartment needs repairs? Forget, they will never fix it. You're lucky if they call you back.

My neighbor's mailbox has been broken for the last 7 months. Another neighbor has had a broken dishwasher for the last 3 months. I have been here for 6 months. My windows have not been sealed...bees are always coming through the holes. The HVAC unit has not been fixed in 2 months...it's been a sweat box in this place! The pipes are leaking in the ceiling. You can practically see the brown leak spots in the ceiling!!!

Various demands have been made for repairs...NO ANSWER!!!

There's no playground, so there are kids running through the parking lot, sitting on your cars, and literally hanging out on your patio or stoop.

I could go on for days for almost every tenant who has problems at this complex.

I would be wise not the move to this complex. I don't care if they offer you $0 down and 12 months free : - (

Unfortunately, Georgia law does not offer tenants any protection from slumlords/landlords. Please, Please, Please write your state representatives so that tenants will be able to have a fair and even fight with landlords like tenants in VA, NY, MD and verious other states that support tenant rights.

I live in of BRG's complexes and it has really gone downhill in the last three years I've lived there. They refused to replace my broken refridgerator for about six months. The temperature inside of it was 58 degrees, by the way. They gave up trying to fix my toilet because it wouldn't flush and wouldn't transfer me to another apartment that did have a working toilet. Fortunately, I worked that out on my own. My building itself has mailboxes you can easily fit your hand down into, garbage all over the place, plumbing fixtures that are about to fall off the wall, and a creature infestion rampant enough to open your own zoo. You're right, this company doesn't care one bit about maintenance. The people that live there are just a bunch of lowlifes. One time there was fight out in my hallway and the walls were covered with blood the next day. People constantly vanadalize the place, sometimes even using a fire extinguisher to do so. I could go on forever, so I'm just going to stop here....
