I can relate. In addition to warranty issues with Best Buy (see posting below yours!) I also bought my son a Toshiba computer. It was under warranty, but after many times of sending it to Toshiba for repair (and there are still costs involved with the warranty), it never did work right for any length of time. After approximately a year, we trashed the $1200 laptop (for which we never did receive the $50 rebate) and purchased a laptop from Sams Club. So far so good and I've purchased a second one there for my other son. Their extended warranty is significantly less expensive. I can't say how their service is, though, as we haven't had to use the warranty yet. Try to look on the bright side at least you didn't waste the money for the warranty, because then you would be at the mercy of Best Buy and Toshiba; a definite no-win situation!
