Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
A couple months ago my husband and I were looking to adopt a dog and filled out an application for one through this organization. We were promptly turned down and said our application was not accepted. When I received that email from them i responded and asked why we were turned down and if there were any other dogs available that may better fit us and was completely ignored.
Yesterday I was searching pet finder again and came across the dog that we applied for STILL up for adoption. This broke my heart to see this dog still up for adoption when a caring dog lover such as myself was turned down without any explanation. I have a hunch that we were turned down because we do not have a fence. There were 100 questions on their application about what kind of fence we had. That is an absolutely ridiculous reason not to give someone a dog because they don't have a fence. What's better? Someone with a fence that will throw the dog in the yard and leave it there all the time. Or someone without a fence who is going to spend time with the dog and take it on walks to the park all the time? To be judged like that is beyond me.
So when i saw this dog still up for adoption i felt compelled to give this place a piece of my mind. And i was completely appaled by their response to me, which was "I have no idea who you are and given your wild tirade, you are entitled to no information about Flora. You clearly didn't make the cut, so move on!" WOW. No greeting, No signature, completely unprofessional, and flat out RUDE. All i wanted was a response from them, and this is how they treat me.
I strongly believe that this organization does not really want to let their dogs get adopted. They just want to parade them around to adoption shows on the weekends to attract attention but they really have no intention of letting any of them go. If you look at their website all of the same dogs are always there and their information is hardly updated. And to send an email like that just proves they are a scam and less than professional organization. Someone needs to look into this place!!!!!
I have always been a HUGE advocate for adopting dogs. People always preaching to "adopt! adopt!" and "ban puppy mills" but tell me, how are we supposed to do that when these organizations will not let the dogs go?!?!

OBVIOUSLY there wasn't actually 100 questions about fences. That was an exaggeration. But there were most certainly more than 2. They wanted you to have a fence, they wanted to know what brand, what it was made out of, how tall it was, if there were holes in it, and what year it was built.
Also, I never doubted the amount of information about the dogs on the websites, but it's a FACT that they do not update the site. 2 months ago the dog i was interested in was 4 months old. If you go to the website today, she is still 4 months old. And as far as i could tell, NO dogs have been adopted in the past 2 months and the amount of dog listings seemed to be exactly the same.
The fact of the matter is, all i wanted was for this organization to speak to me with kindness and professionalism. As a functioning member of society i deserve to be treated with respect and proper customer service. If you go on yelp or google reviews there are many other complaints about this place similar to mine. They clearly don't act like they want to deal with people, which would make sense because they obviously don't let too many dogs get adopted!!!

I was reading this review and thought it was over the top, so I looked up the rescue organizations application. I has only 2, not 100, questions about a fence on it, which I suspect are similar to other rescue organization or shelter application
questions. Then I checked out the web sites adoptable dogs listing. It seems like there is a reasonable amount of information about the dogs and the process, which is also on the application form. So this is about sour grapes. I probably
shouldnt have wasted my time replying to this review, but I am, because too many people feel entitled to sound off and want vengeance when the offender did nothing wrong and shouldn't be harassed. I certainly wouldnt want to have
anything to do with someone like the reviewer!
