I attempted to use Best Time Movers this past week for a 3 bedroom move, and am very disappointed with the unprofessional way the movers and so called manager's and representatives: Betty Rosen, Nichele and Juilet spoke, yelled and harrassed me over the phone! The driver/mover (Marsua) called me at 8:09 a.m. when he was to be at my home to tell me he would be 2 hours late --- which meant he was just leaving their homebase. I was a little taken by this, but none the less told myself to keep a cool head. When they finally arrived they wanted to revew the contract because this house was not what was described to them. The lead mover (Marsua) drew a line through the contract and started assessing my home for a new quote. After a 25 minute walk thru of my home and belongings he told me the move which was originally quoted at 7 hours at $135 and hour for a three man crew was now going to be a 10-12 hour job and possibly more at $135 and I needed $1200 in packing supplies -- the new quote was a whomping $2800+!!! I was completely flabbergasted and appalled! Furthermore, this company was trying to charge me 3 x's the amount of the original quote! I can only agree with another complaint listed on here that this is "simply poor business planning and forecasting, with the consequences negatively impacting the customer". As the customer, I was totally packed and ready for the movers. I had told Betty several times that I had boxes and bags of clothing to be moved as well as appliances and furniture that did not need to be wrapped and she told me that as long as I agreed to that it was moveable.

They infringed and committed fraud when they took my credit card information (I should have been suspicious when Marsua did not have a credit card machine and was upset that I wrote for charged amount only on the receipt in question). I had no idea that they had already charged me and fled my home without any services rendered.

I am alarmed but not surprised with the shady business practice of this company, and have already filed a complaint with the BBB and will be filing a complaint the Maryland Attorney Generals Office as well to have their practices and licenses reviewed - with hopes to have them revoked!

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY - BEST TIME MOVERS! THEY ALSO GO BY THE NAME 123-MOVERS! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!

Unhappy mover
