BidCactus is an online auction site. But unlike a real auction, you have to buy your bids. According to the site, and it is posted on the main page; 6 items a day, 3 items + 3 bid packs are the baximum you can win. Now it does not say someone can't bid forcing prices up. And it does not say, when you click to bid, if the item is of a high value, ie HDTV value $599, Sony 37 inch HDTV, retail value $799 that it will take your bid, or that the same person who never bids except for the televisions, oh and he won both of them and the PS3 retail value $299. So there are his 3 items correct? Nope, he was also bidding on $100 gift cards, after we watched him win the items. I have talked with someone else and for the next 24 hours we will record each win we see. If the person who won the 3 items, was truly only allowed to win the 3 items, how is they are able to continue bidding? Are they stupid? No we the consumers are being taken for a ride here. The site even tells you this is entertainment.

THIS IS FROM THE SITE: "Bidcactus was born out of a desire to provide you, the online community, with a fresh approach to "auction entertainment." Because we are digital, we are able to quickly adapt to the rapidly developing product universe in a way that is virtually impossible for land based companies."

This is not an auction, it is a gambling site.

As I was reading your column, I noticed that random words were highlighted in blue, When I moved my cursor over these various words, a small window opened up over your text, advertising the very 'fake auctions' that you are reporting (.Some of these sm. windows also advertised reputable companies as well, although there was no relationship between the company and the word... odd.)

Its jawdropping that the type of businesses thatyour complaining about is using your comments as a way to advertise Its like they're laughing at us.

I wouldalso confront ripoffreport about allowing the very businesses that they are supposed to be protecting us from to advertise ,not just on thier website , but RIGHT OVER YOUR COMPLAINT!! Thats just bad business.

Good luck to you,

mo
