Yes what a sham , I thought I got a great deal on some diamonds that I bid on up to a few hundred dollars and won but only after was told that the computer was down (at their end ) and the auction was therefore canceled ( they must of rectified the problem as nothing now sells for anything much under 10% of "compare at" prices !). Well I thought "ok then I will have another shot at it" the next time round I won a auction on a 2.41 diamond for $990.00 "great" I thought, after a month of being told the diamond had been shipped I then was told it hadn't been shipped at all and that they were unable to supply me that diamond for that price, what ? is this not a auction I thought ! .They did offer a 1 carat stone to me but that's not what I won . After repeated emails they still were unwilling to tell me why they will not supply what I had won and then eventually did not reply to any further emails at all other than sending a refund (thank God) . So when is a auction not a auction ? Answer : When it's a Bidrise Auction !!! When a diamond doesn't make a profit for them they just come up with a excuse (or in my case , no excuse) not to send it , that appears to me to be fraudulent especially if it's meant to be a legitimate auction. If you have a look at the site they suggest that their diamonds "compare at $000's " , what a joke ,check any reputable diamond calculator / supplier site and you will see that the diamonds Bidrise suggested compare prices are massively inflated and by some astonishing coincidence bidding by the most part end's up at around 10% of it's "compare at" prices with multiple items drastically increasing simultaneously in value just before the close !! For example the 2.41 J si1 I thought I won has a value of around $26,000 and that is for a natural NON ENHANCED one , when factoring the lower value of a enhanced stone the value should be around $16,000 (retail), Bidrise's site suggested the value was "compare at over $77,000". Their scam works for most as normally the bidding on this would go over $5000.00 which is not far from wholesale price , that's if you get what was advertised which is unlikely as I have experienced from their other Ebay site as well I have been in contact with another buyer and they confirm that they did not receive what was advertised and is hoping to get a refund. Keep in mind that this site sells ENHANCED DIAMONDS which are by industry standards worth 40% less than non enhanced diamonds ! I would like to plea to US law enforcement agencies to investigate the goings on of this very dubious company and take appropriate action. The consumer laws in Australia would burn them alive , I hope that is the case in the US and Europe.

They are utter time wasters.

In defense of Bidrise. Check out the diamonds they are auctioning...I gurantee you will be pleasantly suprised. Some may be under the amount, while some are over. Don't just read this complaint and the one on ripoff report and assume the entire company is bad. You need to pick a diamond and find a website that has a diamond calculator...I gurantee you it is worth you giving this company a second look. They answered all of my questions without delay. I am extremely satisfied with their efforts...Here is a link to check them out for your self. Happy Shopping! http://bidrise.com/?aff394ab119ad9a751fcd9158c4ed5b1

We made a mistake in listing that particular diamond

We made a mistake in listing that particular diamond. It can happen in any company when you list thousands of items. We kindly offered the customer another diamond which he refused. We sell the diamonds far below market prices that cannot be found anywhere else.

I have been trying to buy a diamond on Bidrise, but everytime I win one & pay for it they refund my money & tell me it was mislisted. And how sorry they were ... (oh yeah? hmmm...I thought this was an auction, too?) and they do not have any 1.34 ct round diamonds in stock at this time. At any time of the day or night I have counted at least a dozen or more diamonds they have adverised that are that size. Isn't this the worst kind of fraud? Why isn't the FBI doing their job? When I read Bidrise's reply that they have thousands of satisfied customers (lol what a bunch of liars) from Ebay & Pay Pal, that is all I needed to hear. Now I know for a fact they are all liars & scammers. I was an Ebay / PayPal customer for years, & I foolishly believed that I was safe shopping on Ebay & I spent thousands of dollars on jewelry that was supposedly 14kt. Genuine diamonds which maybe 1 of the items I did receive was actually genuine. Ebay / Pay Pal never helped me get my money back, nor did they reimberse me for all the items I paid for & never received. I filed so many claims with Ebay / PayPal (not getting my money back for the items I returned) or the items I never received or any compinsation for all the used, dirty, tacky crappy gold plated cut glass jewelry I received, and all they said is we will investigate these matters. It's been over 2 years now & I have not heard from Ebay / PayPal about all the claims I had filed or for all of the money I had lost to their sellers (thieves) that they still stand behind & they still remain completely unconcernered about any of my losses or the issues. Yet they still continue to allow them to steal our hard earned money. Isn't it wonderful to know that we have made so many criminals (thieves) rich, so they can easily continue to steal from us without worring about any law enforcement or going to jail? Property Room has the best auctions, they are right on the mark with everything they auction & I have never been unhappy with this Company.
