I have been a customer of Bidz.com and have recommended it for casual fun jewelry purchases to friends and family. That was until a month ago. I ordered a watch for my sister in law - it was an I Love Lucy watch that was supposed to be a Christmas gift. I purchased the item on November 2, 2007. I was supposed to receive the item via fedex. I checked on the item on bidz.com once they provided a tracking number. The item was reported delivered to my condo apartment and I immediately let Bidz.com know that I had not received the item within their 48 hour policy. I was told I had to wait 30 days for them to investigate the claim. I contacted them every 7 days or so to check progress and I continually told to wait until I received this message today from one of their live help customer service representatives.

Miles: fed ex denied the claims because they say they have delivered the invoice

Miles: contac them to check the issue , if no success , contact us back

I had operated in good faith with Bidz.com and I contacted them immediately. I now believe they talked me into waiting 30 days to ensure that the credit card went through and they still received payment. I didn't even neccessarily want payment returned just the original item i had bought.

Any help with this matter would be useful. I have retained all transcripts with bidz.com.

Claims Process

Thank you for your inquiry. It is very unfortunate to hear that you did not receive your package. Once we receive the authorization and forms required to open the claim the process, the claim can close in anywhere from 15 days (2 weeks) to 30 days. We require that the customer gives that amount of time because it takes time for us to investigate the matter and we have other claims to process too. We are unable to issue out refunds once a claim is denied by the carrier. Once a claim is denied, the only thing we can recommend the customer is to contact Fed Ex and discuss the matter with them to see why they denied it. Once the customer has a better idea as to why Fed EX denied it, we can further assist the customer and even maybe re open the claim to see if it theres a way we can issue a refund. The 30 days is not to ensure payment because once an invoice is made, we are confirming that the payment has been received. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns: [email protected] Thank you
