Bluebird American Express Tried to link bluebird account with bank account and was locked out of bluebird account Internet
I opened a bluebird american express account and used it to recieve my ssi direct deposits. I recently tried to link my bank account to my bluebird account and my bluebird account was frozen. The rep at bluebird called and verified my account with the bank and verified that I was the account owner and that my account was active. However bluebird still required me to fax over a copy of my bank statement. I don't recieve paper statements becaue i get them online. Meanwhile I ran into a problem with my bank and decided to close the account. I called bluebird and told them what had happened and asked that they remove my bank account from my bluebird account. They claim that my bluebird account is frozen and to remove the bank account I needed to fax over a copy of my bank statement. I already told them that I didn't have any paper statements. They advised me to got the bank and request a copy of a bank statement on a closed account. The bank said they were unable to do this because I no longer had an account. I called bluebird and explaind this to them and they said that I would not be able to access my bluebird account or the funds in the account until i could clear the hold that was placed on the account and the only way to do this was by faxing over a copy of the bank statement that I am unable to get on a closed account. Now my money is in bluebird account and I cannot get access to it. I am told that my account with bluebird will remain in this state until I can provide a copy of my bank statement. Now my social security checks will be returned and the money in the account I will never be able to get unless I provide a copy of my bank statement. I am so upset and lost as to what to do. My money is gone and bluebird from American Express will do nothing. Please I need to know what are my options.
