On 6/12/2007 I also was contacted by Frank Gibson X791 stating that I had applied for a loan and was approved. This totally baffled me because I do not recall ever applying for a loan with them or anyone for that matter. I did however submit my information for debit consolidation and I assumed that is how he got my information.

As with so many other people on this site he offered me a $5,000 loan with only 7% interest which would mean my payments would only be $223.86 per month. That peeked my interest so he told me that he would fax over my loan documents and when I received them I thought that they looked very legit. However, when I did the math and discovered that they would only be making $372.64 profit I got suspicious.

When I looked up the company on the BBB website I couldn't find anything. So I went to their website www.brookfieldlending.com and noticed that even though their website looks professional their is not contact information listed, and no way you can actually apply for a loan via their website which was very odd. But I sat on it a prayed about it and then today I did a search and stumbled on this ripoffreport.com.

After reading all of the statements here I did another search on BBB.org and this is just some of what I found NOTE this company is NOT a member of the BBB so you should not do business with them:

According to contracts and other documentation supplied by consumers Brookfield Lending Services is offering personal loans ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. The contract indicates the borrower must grant the lender a collateral payment of 4 monthly payments in order to secure the loan and payment must be received prior to funding the loan. The contract further indicates the company has the right to collect additional collateral payments should Brookfield Lending Services deem the borrower's information inadequate.

The Better Business Bureau has not spoken to any consumers that have received the promised loan. It is the position of the Bureau that Brookfield Lending Service's advanced fee loan offer is deceptive and misleading.

On June 18, 2007 BBB management visited the company's advertised address, 5250 Virginia Way, Brentwood, and verified with the property management that Brookfield Lending Services has never been located at the advertised address.

I am so glad that I did not allow myself to be duped by these people. So please people investigate anyone who offers you something that is too good to be true.
