I purchased 3 tiny teacup poodle puppies from James (Bruce) and Eugenia Dishmon that they advertised on www.puppyfind.com site as tiny teacup toys maturing at 3 lbs if that. She also says she raises them in her home in her living room and they are well socialized.

I ordered an AKC reg. black girl, an AKC phantom boy that was to mature about 2 lbs, a CKC reg red girl to mature between 3-4 lbs. I kept in contact with her by email as I did my payment plan and the puppies shipped Feb. 7, 2009. After she shipped dogs, I got an email telling me the black girl couldn't ship because she had a health problem, so she shipped me another red girl and hoped it was OK.

When the dogs arrived the phantom was 4 lbs and a small toy and the red girls were 4.5 lbs and 6.5 lbs and larger toys. I notified her immediately by email I was shipping them back and she told me she does not accept dogs back and does not do refunds for any reason. After I had paid her $3400 +$350 shipping she emailed me a sales contract saying she does not guarantee size or color or do refunds but by then I had already paid her all the money. I did not sign the contract she emailed, I just emailed her saying I would not hold her responsible for anything beyond her control.

The dogs she shipped me do not look anything like the pics I received by email when I bought the dogs. I received kennel raised dogs that were scared to death of people, that no one had even started to house train. I have always left food down at all times for my dogs, but I cannot do that now because these dogs gobble the food down like they are starving and eat until they get sick. In addition, they all had ear mites and she knew it and shipped anyway passing them along to the other animals in my house.

The dogs were advertised as registered dogs and did not arrive with papers. It has taken a month of hassle, while she filed for the paperwork after I bugged her about it even though she knew the puppies would ship for 3 months. I finally got the papers 6 weeks after the puppies arrived. Eugenia Dishmon lost her AKC registration for 10 years but still sells AKC dogs under her husbands name. This breeder is a bait and switch breeder, using fraudulent advertising on the puppy find site emphasizing tiny teacups to charge high prices. I have every email that transpired between us and the pics she sent me for your review if you wish. She will not answer her phone or respond to my emails now.Beware of this breeder she runs a puppy mill.

The adult Maltese featured in the video with the severe ear infection is now with a family that loves her and cares for her. The infection she suffered from has now been eliminated. The vet had to remove both of her ears and she will never be able to hear again.

Now you tell me how much this "breeder" cared about her animals. If she kept humans in filthy cages in a unair-conditioned garage she'd be locked up behind bars herself.

I can't seem to be able to copy & paste a link or the article.  If you go to heraldtribune.com and search Eugenia Dishmon you will find the article dated 3/30/2010.  She was cited by Sarasota County for neglect and reports that she ran a puppy mill.  The county did leave her 3 dogs, including one that is pregnant... but she must have their health verified by a vet.  The article said that the pups were kept in her garage in filthy cages without room to properly exercise.

AMANDA IS A FRAUD, NEVER CONTACTED TO BUY PUPPIES

#4Author of original report

I have never contacted Amanda for any reason. I never asked her to sell or hold puppies for me. I demand that she show proof of her allegations that I did so. Amanda posted this same review on the puppy find site, but when I notified puppy find that the review was fraud, they removed it and demanded that she support her report. She could not do so, so the report remained off line. It is interesting the Eugenia had no reviews on puppy find until I posted mine and then suddenly she has her friends posting all these glowing reports. I believe Amanda is a friend of hers and helping her defraud the public by lying for her. Please note that there is an additional review on puppy find that says Eugenia misrepresents puppy size and sold a pup with a skin disease. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BREEDER. SHE EVEN ASKS FRIENDS TO POST LIES FOR HER. TOTALLY UNETHICAL TO INVOLVE OTHER PEOPLE IN HER LIES.

MARYAM IS A FRAUD/ BUYS AND RESELLS PUPPIES!

Noone should listen to this woman Maryam. She is a fraud and purchases purported "teacup" poodles for resale in Alaska. She is dishonest and a fraud. Maryam tried to purchase poodles from me about six months ago. She asked me to hold them for her for at least 6 months so that she could "pay them off." What she was really doing, was posting the puppy pictures for sale in Alaska - AT ALMOST DOUBLE THE PRICE - for re-sale once the puppies are at least 12-15 weeks old. If not older. Maryam is a liar, belongs to a circle of puppy re-sellers, and should not be trusted. My guess is, she pre-sold the black phantom. When the black one was not shipped, she lost a re-sale. Maryam, you should be ashamed of yourself. One day you will be prosecuted for your unethical actions.

Eugenia and Bruce Dishmon DOES NOT run a puppy mill!!!

I am very aware of how Eugenia Dishmon raises her babies and these puppies are definately raised in her living room. I mean how does this women know how these babies are raised when she lives in ALaska?! Eugenia has been raising her babies for OVER 3O years now, I think she probley knows her passion by now. She feels that she can not take care of her babies properly if she can not see them at all times. I have seen her feed these babies by hand and stay up all night with them. Does that HONESTLY sound like a puppy mill to you??? No this is a women that cares about her babies and wants nothing but the best homes for them. No puppy is guanteed to be potty trained, it takes work from the future owner. Another thing, it doesnt take an expert to know that any puppy that is shipped that far to a NEW home, is going to be scared, they are just babies. All puppies change as they get older, thats the beauty of nature. She should have asked for constant updated pictures. Puppies that have been on a VERY long flight are going to eat like they are starving. I think Eugenia Dishmon did this women a favor by holding/raising the puppies for her while she could pay them off and actually be able to obtain/RESALE the puppies, not may breeders would be the kind. Eugenia Dishmon could get this woman for slander! She is trying to ruin the reputation of this breeder and her beautiful babies.

I came across your report on Eugenia and Bruce Dishmon and was quite frankly, shocked. First, a breeder is not required to "potty train" any puppy before it is shipped or sold. That is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Moreover, the Dishmon's due not hold themselves out to be breeders that "potty train" their puppies before they go to their new homes. Indeed, the Dishmon's state only that their puppies are raised in their home. Second, to the extent that you imply the Dishmon's starve their puppies because your puppies "gobbled" down food is simply, not fair. There are many dogs that eat fast as if it is their last meal. That notion is ridiculous. Third, with respect to ear mites - get over it. Most puppies have some sort of parasitic issue - whether it is ear mites, worms etc. There are simple remedies and had you taken the puppies to the vet upon receipt, a simple dose of ear mite medication would have prevented the spread of the ear mites to your other dogs. Fourth, registration papers are routinely issued to purchasers of puppies after proof of neutering or spaying. A breeder is not required by law to supply registration papers to you at the time of the sale. Moreover, since you were on a "payment plan" which I must note most breeders do not allow, the Dishmon's were required to wait until the sale was final - i.e., the pups shipped - to ensure the paperwork submitted was accurate (incase for some reason you did not purchase the pups in the end). Fifth, I must state that I purchased a puppy from the Dishmon's. My puppy is well-socialized and was pee-pee pad trained within days. I too was concerned about the pictures of the puppy because the photos that I received were of him when he was much much younger. You need to acknowledge the fact that puppies' appearances change as they grow older. I recognized the fact that the Dishmon's are not in a big city, nor are they on high-speed internet. It is difficult for them to constantly upload pictures through dial-up. Finally, you need to be careful about offereing e-mail communications and photos to the public that you believe are purported proof of you being "ripped off." You are exposing yourself to a potential lawsuit which could become costly if you damage the Dishmon's reputation and effect future sales. More importantly, your "rip off" report is wholly unwarranted. Because you are dissatisfied with your choice of puppy purchase does not mean that you were "ripped off" nor does it mean that the Dishmon's run a puppy mill. Posting these types of comments, without "actual substantiated proof" as opposed to dissatisfaction, could lead you into legal trouble.

Maryam House contacted me and wanted to buy 2 red female and 1 phantom tiny poodle puppies, and wanted me to hold them for her until she could pay them off, so I told her I would, well they were 5 months old before she got them paid for, and I do raise my puppies in my living room, by the way, not in a kennel, anyway, when she finally got them paid for, it when it finally got warm enough in Alaska, I shipped them to her. She told me she was buying the puppies for pets, and may use them for breeding, I told her that they may be too small for that, well I had no idea she was planning all along to resell them, but soon as she got them, she sold them, and another thing, I have mailed the papers to her for the pups, I told her I would mail them, I don't like shipping them with the pups, they could get lost. When she resold them, she didn't get as much out of them as she wanted so she is trying to make me pay the difference, and I don't see where I am responsible for that. These puppies were tiny and beautiful, she also decided she wanted a black in the middle of everything, instead of one of the red girls, but she had already told me to hold her 2 red girls and the phantom boy, and that is what I held for her. She even got mad because they were not house broken. SELLERS BEWARE...SHE SOLD THE BEAUTIFUL PUPPIES THAT I SENT HER AND GOT HER MONEY BACK THAT SHE PAID ME, NOW SHE WANTS ME TO PAY HER MONEY BACK ALSO, SHE SAID IF I DIDN'T SEND HER MONEY SHE WOULD SLANDER ME AND SHE IS, PLUS BLACKMAILING ME!
