We were in a position that we had to have a car right away and didnt have the credit or the money to go to a dealer and decided to stop and look at Cactus Jacks. We stopped and Sam was working that day, we looked at an 05 Cadillac CTS, it had 96,000 miles but, looked pretty clean. We were told to fill out the paperwork and then we could drive it.

It was about 2:30 pm and Sam said they closed at 4. Okay!! It seemed as though it was one of the better vehicles out there and due to the circumstances we agreed. We placed down $ 1500 and was told that we needed $2350 so we made arrangements to pay the other money within the time allotted. We signed the paperwork and started home and the transmission quit running. I called and they sent a tow truck the next day, due to the time of day. The car was taken in, and 3 days later we got it back. Please realize that you are given a 15 day or 500 mile warranty with the car. We lived 48 miles from there so miles added up quickly.

The transmission place or whomever had the car put on 300 miles, when I talked to them they said they would NOT give up credit for the miles that were driven while being fixed. Got the car back and then one week later the tranny went out again. Called got the tow truck, we were over in our miles so warranty didnt apply although they said they would cover this. Got the car back again and the antenna was gone, I believe the tires had been switched because there was no tread left on two tires and they were different sizes. I told my husband that it was not running smooth so took it to a caddy dealer and guess what they said that it would cost appx $ 7500 to replace the engine and tranny and etc, it had also been in a wreck and the front end was damaged, that was never revealed.

John said that basically it was our problem and screw us. We talked and decided that we would return the car after only having it for a month and lose the down payment, just call it quits. Took the car back, john gave us a reciept saying we were turning the car back in. OH and the plates that we had to purchase that wasnt included in our acct, plus when the paperwork was done Sam didnt look at the calendar correctly and had us off on the paycheck dates, they called us to say that we were behind in payments. The lady in the office said screw us, they dont change dates who did I think that I was, believe her name was Sharon, rude rude rude!!!

Anyways ran our credit report today and even though the car went back in October and this in now Feb. 2012 it is showing that as of Jan. 2012 we are delinquent $487.00. They say that they are there to help build your credit but, the truth is that the positive payments dont get reported, if you miss a payment then its reported,. This isn't helping you!!! These people have to be stopped somehow. They are total scammers and sell horrible vehicles. Now tomorrow I have to call John and see what is up, I know whats going to happen I WILL lose my temper tell them where to go and it the car will still be on our credit report. Any advice would be appreciated!! Cactus Jacks You do not need to rebutt you horrible SOB's..

also a know-it-all potty mouth.

Since she's made the standard "You must work for them" accusation, I'd guess she's out of arguments.

So you must work with them, you one of the brainless souls that rip people off to? I have gotten it straightened out, I will live with the consequences and endure the same as many other have and will. I think that they are the scum of the world and it's all there is to it. I made an offer, they refused it and so life goes on.. So for you, kiss my a**!!

"We were told to fill out the paperwork and then we could drive it."

That's when you should have said, 'No, we will test drive it first.' You could have saved yourself the deposit and a lot of aggravation.

You Now Have A Repo!

#6Consumer Comment

Mon, February 06, 2012

Without regard to all the problems you had with the car, taking the car back is considered a voluntary repo. A repo is a repo so it does not matter how many payments you made on time, you now have a repo on your credit report. What is distressing is you did this to yourself yet you now complain they haven't reported positive things to the bureaus. You shot yourself in the foot and you will pay the price for many years if they report the repo.
