My wife went to the hospital for a routine exam (ultrasound). Before agreeing to have it done we asked for the total cost (with doctor fees, etc...). I wanted to know exactly what it would cost. We were told $500. We were told we only had to pay $50 and they would bill us for the $450. We then received 2 seperate bills, one from the doctor for $462 (he only saw us for 3 minutes), and the hospital for another $343.25. They lied to us and then overcharged. When we called to inquire they said those are the charges and they won't do anything about it.
Something has to be done about this ripping off patients by hospitals. If any other field did this it would be fraud, but hospitals can get away with fraud and know it. AVOID THIS MEDICAL GROUP AS ALL THEY DO IS LIE< CHEAT AND STEAL! THEIR NAME SHOULD BE CAROLINAS THEFT AND RIPOFF HEALTH SYSTEM AND SERVICES!
