I received a phone call today stating if I answered a 3 question political survey I would be entitled to a 2 day free cruise to the Grand Bahamas. When the survey was completed I was transferred to Scott Russell ID#8150 who began explaining the details of the free cruise. He said the cruise is on a first come first served basis and only one phone call per household is allowed to cover all the details. I wanted to check further to determine if this was a legitimate company. He asked me if I had access to a computer. I told him I didn't have access at that time. I asked him for written details about the free cruise. He asked me for my email address, which I provided to him. When I began asking more questions about the $59.00 port tax per person he transferred me to his supervisor, Victor ID#BZ2222. I was asked to pay the port taxes today on my credit card. However, I was concerned that this could be a "scam". My daughter-in-law called Royal Carribean Cruise Lines and asked if their employees used ID numbers when contacting customers and was told that they only used extension numbers. I was unhappy with the way the conversation was going and hung up the phone. I was very glad I didn't provide my credit card information to Scott or Victor.
