C.A.R.S complete automotive repair services, parent company name Protection Plus Inc. is a total scam. They operate under the radar associating themselves with used car dealers. I paid close to 300 dollars for this worthless warranty.

I took my car to dealer filed my claim for repairs and was denied any payment. They pretty much just washed their hands off on me, saying car had been obviously abused.

Of course it had been abused I bought the car with 134k miles on it. So why would CARS sell such a warranty on a

car with that much mileage?

Because they never intended on paying any claims on that car. They can always find a loop hole. It's a scam but probably legal, because of all their ways to blame the problem on the sucker like me. I urge you not to purchase their warranty if ever offered to you.

A very positive experience with C.A.R.S warranty company

In February of 2004 I purchased a 12 year old Subaru SVX on E-Bay. I collected the car from an on line dealer in Chicago. I was offered the exact same 3 yr warranty as described in the complaint. This car had 82,000 miles on it and the unlimited mileage warranty seemed very attractive. Subsequently, I had 3 claims made against the warranty company C.A.R.S and each one was met and dealt with in a timely manner. My experience was exactly the opposite of the complainant's experience. Total claims paid were in the vicinty of $3,000. The warranty expired in February 2007 and I have just purchased another vehicle with 58,000 miles. I'm considering contacting C.A.R.S and Googled them in and came across this complaint. Hence my response.
