I purchased a '98 Chevy Malibu from them under the pretense that it was A) checked out to be OK by their "mechanic" and B) Safe Working order.

When i got the car it was FILTHY and i made a deal with the salesman that if he knocked off the some price i would clean it myself.

A couple days later, the car started running funny and shifting hard. When told of this he had me take the car in to get a transmission tuneup, out of pocket for me and then he reimbursed me over several payments. The same went for some parts that were falling apart inside the car.

The car continued to run funny and was getting horrible gas mileage. I had already taken it back in several times to have their mechanic look at it. Each time i was told there was nothing wrong with it.

There was obvioulsy something wrong with it, it was making a loud noise (which the mechanic pretended not to hear) and it was horrible on gas. Then i found out that they did not do an oil change when they bought the car nor one before i received it. they did NOT do a tuneup either. nor did they do anytype of checkup or maintenance to it before giving it to me. When i asked for any of the above, i was continually ignored or told there was nothing wrong with the car.

This continued for 2 months until i was none too politely told that i would not get anymore "FREE" work on the car. That THEY would have to start charging ME for work on it.

I took it for an oil change somewhere else, and got my bank to refinance for me. right after, my wife was driving back from san antonio (1/2 hours away mind you) and the serpentine belt blew off the car, leaving her stranded. i had to get the car towed to a reputable mechanic at that point they showed me why the belt exploded. My belt tensioner was melted solid and had been that way for quite sometime apparently, until the belt finally melted thru. MEANING that they sold me a car knowing that it was dangerous and not in working order.
