Charles Green, Royal Movers Reneged on Moving My Posessions Denver Colorado
On Wednesday, May 28, Charles Green (Royal Movers of Denver) and I agreed that he would move my furniture a distance of 10 miles from Aurora, CO to Denver, CO on Tuesday, June 3. He had been recommended to me by my realtor. Now former realtor.
On Saturday, May 31, I received a message from Mr. Green. It simply stated that he wouldn't move me and that I had to find another mover. There was no explanation or excuse so I thought he had been injured or his truck had failed, or whatever had happened to him. There was no callback number so I phoned my realtor to find out what had happened.
She advised me that Green had told her he would never move me again (he had moved me on a 100-mile job about two years ago). He had forgotten why. I thought this strange because there had been no problems or claims and, in fact, I thought he had done a great job at that time.
I had to scramble and secured a reputable mover at considerable extra cost. Still, I was suspicious and checked with the Colorado PUC--Green's license had been suspended in August of 1999 and it appears he's been operating on without a license since then.
It's now nearly three weeks later; I was moved successfully by the replacement mover and have fired my realtor-largely because she urged me to have mercy on Green. Arbitrary and capricious hurtful actions do not merit mercy in my book.
