I was on title to a truck my x-wife had. In the divorce she was to refinance in her name, but instead she left it on the side of the road and it was towed to an impound yard. Know one told me the truck was impounded until her check for her 09/2006 payment bounced on 10/12/2006. At that time Chrysler informed me the check had bounced and I offered to submit to them a new payment, but the refused to take it. They also informed me the truck was in an impound yard and had been for 28 days.

I was surprised and told them I would pick it up and pay the charges the next day after work on 10/13. They agreed not to pick it up and I went to get it as I said, but they got there first thing in the morning and repossessed it. I called them and asked them to give the vehicle back and accept my payment yet again, but they refused.

The manager was very harsh about it and told me I could only get the vehicle back if I paid the loan in full. Remember, this was a loan that never had a late payment and no payment would have been late if they had accepted the payment I offered. As it was I realized two days later I could make a payment online with out this guy knowing, so I did. This meant the payment was late for one business day and they repossessed it.

Then after I made the payment plus the following month's payment I received documents in the mail stating my rights for redemption. The document clearly said I could redeem the vehicle if I paid another $1400 dollars. I immediately paid the $1400 dollars and then called them to redeem the vehicle, but again they told me I had to pay the loan off.

At this point I was PI**ED, so I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I tried to contact Chrysler for several days after and only got recordings saying I had to send in several item to recover a vehicle, so I faxed these items in and tried to contact them again, but was unable the get past the perpetual hold loop they put you in on the phone.

At this point a month had passed and I finally got through and was told I didn't send in all the information, so I faxed the same info again and they told me I had to pay more money so I did. Then I was told again that the truck was not up for redemption and I told them they had just extorted $2000 dollars out of me leading me to believe the truck was going to be returned and then refused to return the truck. I also let them know they had reported to the credit bureau that I voluntarily surrendered the vehicle when I didn't give anything up voluntarily and the just took a 750 credit score and dropped it to 550 for no reason other than the manager (Zack Parks) Had a wild hair up his butt that day.

I was then transferred to another representative and she said the vehicle is now being reinstated, but I would have to fax the same information to her again and send them another month's payment. I sent the info and the payment and today 12/12/2006, two months later, she released the vehicle to me then informed me that I can pick it up in Riverside California and that I would have to pay the two months storage fee at the auction house.

Now I don think I am unreasonable, but I live in Arizona and can't get off work to get the truck from another state and I don't think I should have to pay for storage when they intentionally drug out the whole process for two months to run up another $2000 dollars in storage at an auction the vehicle should have never been at in the first place.

They have done everything in their power to cost me as much as possible and to be as vindictive as they could when the vehicle should have rightfully never been repossessed in the first place.

At this point I have to give up the vehicle because I can't get there to pick it up. I guess I will just take the money they want for storage and sue them.

Don't ever buy a Chrysler product!!

Chrysler did return my truck and admitted it was an illegal repossession, but they gave me the truck back without a title so I could not register the vehicle or drive it. I fought with them for 11 months to get title, but they failed to ever title it. I finally got tired of fighting with them and stopped making payments after 9 months unless they titled it. They never did, or I should say they titled it so they could go to the court after the contract had been declared breach and canceled. At that point they petitioned the court to seize the vehicle with out giving me due notice of there intentions due notice, hell no notice at all, they sneak around like the bunch of thieves that they are. This was a violation of judicial procedure and a crime. They also hired a tow truck company to quote beat me up and beat be into submit ion as per the tow truck drive. Last I knew it was illegal to have a contract put out on someone!!! Although according to Chrysler they are above the law and the rules do not apply to them. They say they had a contract, breached or not, they will still try to get me one way or another. (what happened to consumer rights? A contract is only enforceable in one direction. So far in this mess Chrysler has violated at least four Arizona revised statutes, two federal laws, most of the uniform commercial code and several state laws. At least the state is willing to prosecute. After they got an illegal seizure order from the court to steal a vehicle they had no claim to and lying to the Judge I finally gave them the truck back since it had no title and I could know longer afford to store it and make payment and pay for insurance on a truck that they owned and I could not drive. This is when they titled it so they could call it a repossessing and put that on my credit. It now seems they think I owe them $7800 on the truck ( $2000 was to wash the truck for auction) and they don't even have a contract!!! To date my losses (besides loosing a truck I have never driven) are $22000 they owe me for a refund of monies paid on the breached contract, $11800 I paid for insurance, storage and extortion money and $280000 they owe me for the loss of my house after they hounded me at work so much that I lost my job (unfair collection practices). For a total of $313800 they owe me in damages. On top of this I have to pay for a lawyer to get the money back, anyone know a good lawyer that is not afraid of Chrysler. They can have 50% of what they recover!! Call me if you do!! Oh yah, this is all well documented!!!!!!
