Sorry but you were told that you were enrolling in a service. You may not think it stands out, but it is right on the first page. Directly from the first page on the web site. -------------------------------- IMPORTANT INFORMATION When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period**, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership. ConsumerInfo.com, Inc. and Freecreditreport.com are not affiliated with the annual free credit report program. Under a new Federal law, you have the right to receive a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies. To request your free annual report under that law, you must go to www.annualcreditreport.com. ------------------ You do get the service you pay for, and it is free as long as you cancel within the 7 days. It is also not a "partial" report, it is a full credit with score. This took you 3 months to realize you were being charged. Don't expect to get your money back for the service or the OD Fees. You taking this long to realize you were being charged is not their fault but yours.

period and that if you didn't cancel your membership your account would be charged. They have had the following notices on their website for a year that I know of: ""From their HOME PAGE: "''IMPORTANT INFORMATION When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. To request your free annual report under that law, you must go to www.annualcreditreport.com.''" From the 'Step 2' page where you enter your credit card information: "''Your credit card will not be charged during the free trial period. However, valid credit card information is required to establish your account.''" Further down the page (about 2 inches on a 20 inch monitor) "''Payment Information When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple Advantage SM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within 9 days of enrollment, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership. If you are not satisfied, you can cancel at any time to discontinue the membership and stop the monthly billing; however, you will not be eligible for a pro-rated refund of your current month's paid membership fee.''" You were not ripped off. I do find it amusing that the clowns at freecreditreport.com don't seem to know if it is a 7 (seven) day or 9 (nine) day free trial. Perhaps someone would should point this out to them.
