CINGULAR WIRELESS CORP ripoff with FREE GSM chip scam LOS ANGELES California
I called Cingular Wireless to discuss my options as I was approaching the end of a tedious two-year agreement with them. They told me that there were no special offers for being their customer for two years, except a free Razor phone (only pay shipping). They also told me that they wanted to send me a free chip to help improve my reception free of charge. No attachments. Just a free bonus so they can also keep better track of their customers, the operator said. Sounded good. Then they send me paperwork with the chip explaining that I now have a NEW two-year agreement with them, which has extra charges and taxes and costs me slightly more than the one I was about to get out of! The jerks!
