I too have been a victim of Complete Weight Loss Center, AKA: Womans Ultra Slim.

My fiance of 16 years, had purchased a book for fun on How to get free stuff and/or samples. While online, he had undergone endless questionnaires, numerous surveys, and many pop-up ads. Never once had he gone to a particular website to order products or purchase anything, and was never asked to enter in any credit card information. The only information given was name, mailing address and sometimes phone number. He was very careful about not giving any information.

Only after receiving my credit card statement did I find out that my credit card was being used. Somehow, my credit card information was obtained from the computer (possibly from previous online orders) and handed out to numerous companies. My card was being illegally charged without authorization.

I had a total of 15 transactions, with Womans Ultra Slim being one of them. After contacting each of the companies and questioning how my credit card information was received, they responded with it was given to them as a third party and not by going to their individual websites to be entered in. My credit card number seemed to have been received by one merchant and then continued to be passed to different merchants coming across on the questionnaires and surveys. Some had a different email address on file, different name and phone#.

All of the companies cooperated and charged back my credit card without any problems, EXCEPT for, Womans Ultra Slim. Very rudely, they refused to work with me and told me they would only refund if my credit card company contacted them. A police report was filed and I also closed my credit card account and reported the fraudulent activity.

After completion of the investigation, my credit card company deemed this fraud. They contacted Womans Ultra Slim and had the charges charged back. Womans Ultra Slim charged me, twice on the same day of $4.00 and $4.95, then later $29.95 for products I never ordered, received or authorized.

I am now receiving threatening letters stating they are demanding recovery of $188.95 for the products and/or services received and fees resulting from the charge backs. If I do not pay this immediately, further fees will be added, including court costs and a negative reporting to the credit bureau. I have tried making several phone calls to try and resolve this. I have spoken with Jenny and Paul only to have them become rude, irate, and unprofessional.

The only settlement they would accept is the total amount due, or the amount due, plus penalties, other fees and court costs. They then hang up on you.

To this day, I still dont know what I was being charged for. I have contacted and filed a complaint with BBB, only to be informed that they are a company well known for these types of complaints, they are a hard company and most likely nothing will be done. After researching the internet, I am finding other horror stories similar to mine. I am hoping that if more people come forward with their complaints, something can eventually be done. THIS IS WRONG WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
