today is may 23rd, 2003. i checked my bank account online and noticed a charge of 79.95 dollars on my account. i have never noticed who this was through. i ran a search through yahoo and came across a phone number, that number is 1-877-513-4175, i dialed the number and got a message giving the website address.
i typed the address in and got a page, www.consumerinfo.com , i noticed the page right away. i was emailed this through a stream of emails from a mailing list. i checked it out at that time. they offered a "free credit report" to me at no charge whatsoever. i entered the information needed and was told the card i used was invalid and no information would be taken further. i left the site and disregarded it.
now, today, i get charged for close to 80 dollars for something i did not receive. please be advised i did send the company an email, i am calling my bank to see if they can do anything, and i will keep in contact with whomever i can to get the matter taken care of.
