I just got off the phone with att, no luck getting 3rd party billing blocked, att rep said they do not do that. How do we force att to do it? ( they get a commission, so they are not likely to co operate) also, called ILD to get the charges removed. a little hassell, but they said they would remove the charge and cancel the account. too bad some of us don't find out the non 800 number for ILD and sign it up for some bigus services and see how they like playing the game from a consumers point.

By law telephone companies have to bill you for third party services as long as that company has been approved by the FTC. However, AT&T will block your service from accepting third party billings for free. It may take up to 5 business days to implement. This will prevent anyone from billing you for unsolicited services. You can also report these companies to the FTC.
