Continental Services ripoff credit card scam Las Vegas Nevada
I filed a online application for a mastercard. I got a call days later from the company continental services saying they were with master card and we had been approved for a 2500.00 card. I spoke to a man named tony maddison. He assured me that there would be no hidden fees. They just needed a deposit of 329.80 to secure the card. This amount had to be taken from my checking account.
I agreed but told them I wanted to talk it over with my husband and would call them the next day to let them know for sure. He said that would be fine and we set it up to withdraw the money from my account on the 10th of this month unless I called to tell them I didn't want the card after all.
I talked to my husband we decided it sounded to good to be true and called the phone number they gave me 18773130758 and got a recording saying "this mailbox is full" which lead me to believe it was not a master card related company. So I got online and found rip-off.com and discovered that I'm not the only person who has be taken for 329.80$ from these people. My bank has agreed to stop the payment for a small fee so we got lucky I guess. i just hope it doesn't has to happen to anyone else.
