We rented a property from this company and it was a nightmare. For $ 1735.00 for one week we assumed we could swim, use the boats and relax in the hot tub. Wrong, wrong and wrong! The lake is more of a swamp than anything. No joke we had a cute little Muskrat swim by on day one. The ground is like quicksand in the rrrrrr LAKE and it was full of weeds. Neither of the boats worked.

They did replace the canoe with the broken seat with a second canoe....with..a broken seat (no joke). That didnt matter anyways because there was only one paddle that wasnt busted. The smell in the hot tub was unreal but did go well with the brown floating scummy type discharge we wiped down numerous times.  We needed to shower afterwards. Even after shocking it with chlorine it still was not useable.

Knowing that we were coming with three little kids we were told that it was a suitable place for children. Rusted metal and broken down pieces of garbage on the lawn (see photos) were only half of the issues. The dock had a piece of 2x4 sticking out of the top which was used as a repair. An unnoticeable repair until you trip over it. The broken canoe which was left on the lawn for my viewing enjoyment, right beside the piece of artwork I like to call the tetanus shot was explained by them saying. Lots of people leave old canoes on the lawn with flowers in them as a decoration. As you can see in the photos they have planted a nice Budweiser plant...still waiting for it to flourish.

I called on the first day and asked for my money back as we wanted to leave. Denied!! We were essentially called a couple of complainers. The owners sent an email full of condescending and sarcastic remarks back to me. They even went so far as to suggest that the torn down shed door (located next to the SAFE pile of wood that was dumped at the end of the driveway ...for the kids climbing enjoyment) was not a safety hazard for the children unless you got on a chair and rubbed your arm back and forth on it till you got a splinter.

I fixed two of the window screens while I was there so that we could get a breeze in the cottage. Other screens needed replacing as they could not be repaired. The only repairs I could see in this place were the ones they could do with duct tape. Horrible experience. Sorry about my sarcasm...it is what I have been dealing with! Oh and P.S..this was my honeymoon!
