In our pursuit of our desire to locate an organization that we believed could manufacture polyurethane components for us, we were not just looking for the best price. The price was very competitive, but more importantly, we desired good customer service and a reliability that we could always have a supply to meet any demand that we might generate. Our due diligence turned up no negative reports or fraud alerts on the organization and along with a good price and accurate time frame, we had thought that this organization was our best option.
In reviewing the e-mails that I have kept from Oscar, he was certain about being able to have prototype samples to us in 6-8 weeks, and then finished product in 90 days after approval. After sending in our purchase order and deposit on July 24, 2006, the good customer service came to an end. The only contact or updates that we received from anyone in the organization over the next three to four months is when WE had to call for information. Each time that we called, we were told a different story and how we should be seeing the samples shortly or that they were in transit. Only after threatening to cancel the order, did we finally get some information and attention. Since then, samples have trickled in between February and March 2007 and we have still not received all of the samples that we were promised, and the ones that we have received are not satisfactory in size and composition.
