I filed a complaint with Ethics Point on Ralph's website in December of 2013 for Dana Desain's conduct. Conduct was confirmed but not actionable because said was not bad enough to warrant, but warnings to Dana were given. This was all suppose to private but was not. Employees came up to me and said verbatim what I had written in my report.
I was suspended in February 2014 for what is called "Stealing Time". Dana was watching me in the parking lot doing my cart hour. Which is gathering the carts for reuse.
I witnessed a women drop her glasses as she was entering a department store. I picked up the glasses took them in gave them to her. The employee working there asked me about the Rewards card. I left and continued doing my carts. This was Wednesday. I was off Thursday. On Friday I was suppose to work 6am till 3pm. at 9am I was called into Dana's office and first was threatened with if you lie to me you will be fired. Without even knowing what was going on..I was scared shitless trying to figure what he thought I had done. He said these things to me 3 or more times before he said "Did you go into blah blah store on your cart hour. I was shocked and just said yes, He didn't give me a chance for anything more. He told me to clock out go home and call my Union Rep. He said all this with his back to me. Never giving me a chance to explain.I was left hanging for about two weeks before my rep told me I was fired. That is another story there.
I have never been in trouble with Ralph's before. No write ups or reprimands on file. I was given good reviews before this. A mediocre one from this store I set at Dana's door.
I don't want my job back I just want this man held accoutable for his actions.
He made life unbearable for me and is continuing to do this to the other employees. The ripoff is him. He ripped me off of my reputation, my job and my peace of mind.

Worked here around the same time at the Calabasas location he was in charge of. He used to harass the bookkeeper so bad she would leave in tears. Used to constantly make fun of the fact that I had a receding hairline at 25, tell me my girlfriend who dropped me off was fat and any time I would call out he'd say I was busy getting high. I showed up one time on a Friday sick as hell after having to call out and had to pick up my check to pay my copay at urgent care and he had the nerve to ask me why I couldn't work but came to pick up my check. He even had employees carry his food inside because he couldn't make it home to put it in the fridge and took employees food out to make room for his. According to my coworker he even had him carry in a box of porn DVDs to put in his office and told him to not look but I guess he dropped the box and he saw what was in it and then put the box back together. Had no problem using the n word when referring to Marc the other store director. Dude was the worst boss I've ever had. I got calls from the union for weeks about him after I quit and at least 3 about the previous bookkeeper asking if I had witnessed anything
