Davenport tailors & dressmakers The Worst Toronto Ontario
The worst. The job was to replace a zipper in a $1200 goose down parka . I supplied a good quality pre measured zipper. The promised time was 3 weeks. the actual time was 6 weeks because they lost my coat. The coat was returned to me with obvious empty stitching holes and hundreds of loose threads from what looked like 5 attempts. When they ripped out the zipper they didn't remove the pieces of thread that were left behind, they just sewed over them. around the zipper it looked like a shag carpet. The stitching ranged in size from 1/16 to 1/2 .inch. They thought it was a big joke that they filled their vacuum with down that had fallen out of my coat.. Not to mention the down feathers that were blowing around the street both sides of there front door. They also made several holes in the lining of the coat where the zipper was ripped out. The cold weather will tell me just how much they ruined my coat.
