My wife and I were married in January. We got her dress from David's Bridal, much like many of the other reports on this site. Just before the wedding, we were contacted by a company saying that we had won a honemoon vacation. Having no money for a nice trip, but wary of a scam, we decided to cautiously proceed. We were slightly perturbed that David's Bridal had sold out our information, but nonetheless a free honeymoon sounded nice.

We were very wrong and have since become quite agitated in retrospect at David's Bridal for giving out our info, seeing as how we did NOT fill anything out other than what was needed for the dress. This is company number one that gets a big thumbs down from us. Company number two continued the saga of deception.

The seminar we were set to go to was supposed to be no-strings-attached with this supposedly honorable company's salesman. A simple demo was all we were supposed to have to endure and then we could get to the details of the vacation. Of course, things went terribly as the fear-mongering salesman claimed certain cancer or alzheimers from using teflon or aluminum cookware. He drilled that bit into our brains incessantly.

After the seminar as we discussed the vacation arrangements, the sales assistant badgered us to buy something so fervently that a car salesman would blush. They pressured beyond comfort, reiterating the dangers of cancerous teflon and alzheimer-inducing aluminum. We were basically told that if we didn't buy their product, that we would certainly meet our unpleasant ends at the hands of those diseases. We purchased a singlular pan out of fear after fighting and bickering about their absurdly priced packages and explaining that we just didn't have the money, the income, or the desire to pursue such a lofty price tag. They finally settled with that and allowed us to leave after being there two extra hours than we were told.

In retrospect, the entire thing was a sham created by Hy Cite and their treacherous partners at David's Bridal. This is what Ripoff report calls honorable? I seriously think that this situation needs to be re-evaluated and looked at much more closely, and judging by the surprising number of newly married couples that got caught in this exact mess, We aren't the only ones who demand a second investigation.
