When this customer called us after her delivery we were more than happy to help her. We apologized for the quality of the food she received and issued her a prompt refund. One of our drivers delivered cash right to her front door. We also made Applebee's aware of her complaint, and referred her to the restaurant.

I am unfamiliar with Delicious Deliveries, but it seems to me that your issue is with the people who MADE the food that got you sick.
Does Delicious Deliveries cook anything themselves? See, I'm just a little confused as to why the company who (from what I understand) only delivered you bad food, are the ones who are responsible?
After having years of experience in the food industry, and currently being a manager at a restaurant, what happened to you is not uncommon, but there are ways to go about it, not only for your own sake, but for the safety of anyone else who may choose to eat at the restaurant that could potentially get more people sick.
You NEED to contact the specific Applebee's where you got your food. The state and local laws REQUIRE them to report any food-borne illnesses resulted from their handling or cooking of food. It is part of their food handling license, and their responsibility as an establishment. Therefore, it is also YOUR responsibility to make them aware of anything that resulted from their incompetance. By doing so they could look at what you ate, who prepared it and how, and see if there is potentially any one else who could have been affected by it. If you do not feel confident that they will take care of the problem, or that they are blowing you off, contact the health department. They are there for just these kinds of situations.
I feel that if you take these steps and go through the proper channels to report your illness, you will have a better chance of getting your hospital bill paid/etc.
I hope this helps, and I hope other people see this and take these tips into consideration if anything similar happens to them in the future.

Figuring that the doctor did confirm it was Food Poisioning and you are sure it happened from that meal, you may be going after the wrong company.
The only thing the delivery service does is take the food from the resturant and deliver it. The food handling and preparation is done by the resturant, in this case Applebee's. Take the steak as an example, if it is undercooked that is because Applebee's did not cook it, not because of anything the delivery company did.
Generally these delivery companies have the food for a short time. So unless he was driving around with your food for an hour or two it is unlikely(but not impossible) that they had it enough time to cause it to spoil.
You may want to see if you can find out how long the food was sitting at the resturant before it was picked up. Then how long between the time they picked it up and delivered it.
