I have been receiving phone calls about that i owe money for some cash advances that i apparently made. They say they are from the Department of Law & they have my ss#, phone number and bank name. They tell me that i owe certain amount of money & if i don't pay right away I will be arrested. They tell me i have to pay right away. i had reported it to my local police department. The officer came to my house got the information & them call me back & said that they are Legiate. So i pay them money & they keep calling me each time it's a different person. I feel i have been scamed. We need to to something to stop these people. If someone can call me so i can file against these people.I am being harrassed by these people. They have an accent. They won't give no info on who you got the money from & when you pay they don't send you anything showing that you paid. I feel i am being threatening.

They rush you to pay a non-existing "Bill" the whole thing is out of India/Pakistan, they CANNOT set the law on you as they're scammers from overseas, it's all Bull.

Ignore them, pay NOTHING they're THIEVES.

"i had reported it to my local police department. The officer came to my house got the information & them call me back & said that they are Legiate."

I'm having a little trouble believing that a real police officer would not immediately know this is a scam.   As someone who is supposed to know the law, he would have had to know that a person cannot possibly be arrested for owing a consumer debt.   In fact, that is the primary way of recognizing it as a scam.

If this truly did happen, you should contact your local police department and complain.   They need to know that they are employing an officer that makes Barney Fife look like a superhero.
