Design Place Miami , Frank Leonor Was not properly compensated for living with Flying Termites for 5 Weeks Miami Florida
Design Place Miami did not properly compensate me for living with thousands of termites for 5 total weeks. Frank Leonor who manages the property never attempted to help us one time and only gave us close to half ($400) of the $870 in compensation we were looking for.
We first reported the termite issue to his staff on April 21st. We expressed that the situation was of extreme importance, as the apartment was Unlivable, but Frank did nothing until the 5th of May. Then, the situation was not resolved until three weeks after that, at which point he did not even offer to give us anything for our extreme discomfort.
Only after calling him every few hours did he finally respond, and every time a meeting was set, he did not show up. When he did, he said "The rent must be paid" and offered $400 for our suffering. Although I feel we are entitled to the entire $1720, we felt it totally reasonable to ask for $860 and Frank did nothing to help us with that request.
Design Place is a terrible place to live in to begin with, but when you add thousands of termites and a Landlord that avoids you when you have problems, a Rip-Off is certain to follow.
