Offered a very ligitimate looking gift card for Red Lobster (or Olive Garden or Amazon which was "sold out"). Then put you through a gauntlet of other "freebie" offers under the heading of a "survey." Once you get through that you still have to complete two more offers.
When the offers are complete you are supposed to get your gift card. The final offer page even tells you that your temporary password is your email/user ID and lists that out for you. When you try to verify that it has been redeemed and is on its way you get nowhere. There is nowhere to go on that page but other offers, and the site itself tells you that your user ID is invalid.
So now, at least two other sites have your personal information and credit card number, and you owe some people money you really didn't want to spend to begin with.
Sucks! I'm cancelling all I can. I was able to close out of the other freebie stuff, the "survey" part, but I did the offers. I know at least one of them is legit. Still canceling and keeping a real close watch on my credit report.
I hate hackers and phishers!!!
