Hello There.
This is John in Customer Service. It sounds like you have had a hard time withm the upload system for the Portable Divorce Questionnaire. Let me take care of that for you.
I have heard of malfunctions occasionally concerning older computers running (more than 5 years old.) Windows XP. However, other older computers, running Windows XP, seem to get along just fine. It might be a specific brand of computer that has those problems. However, as noted in the instructions that come with the Portable Divorce Questionnaire, you can simply deliver it to us by: upload, email, fax, or regular mail. So, there are lots of ways to get the Questionnaire to us.
As for identity theft. This one comes out of left field. There are a few things the reader of this report should know.
1. We process our customers legal documents. (in this instance: a divorce)
2. The local county courts in the United States require a certain amount of information on their court forms such as address, phone number, (last 4 of SSN), etc etc.This information goes onto the court forms.
3. We dont collect personal information at all. We DONT WANT IT. We only need the bare essentials to satisfy the local county courts paperwork, such as: last 4 of SSN, last 4 of Drivers License. As you can see, not much can be done with this minimal information. If the court requires a full SSN, we have a space provided in the forms themselves so you can simply type it in. No problem.
4. We destroy all customer records after a certain period of time.
As you can see, we attempt to take very good caution concerning the small information that we do get.
Concerning the issue of us not having the proper court forms for your area, this does happen sometimes. About every year or two, just about every county court in the United States changes some of their forms. So, we update them as well. However, sometimes it takes us a few months to get the new forms. We are very sorry if this happened to you.
It has been a few months. Contact us back please and we can take care of your refund, if it hasnt been done already. Most likely the refund has been completed. All refunds, once approved, go out on Fridays. Thank you
