BEFORE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT WITH DORAN CONSTRUCTION of Santa Cruzplease think again. I used JAVAD PARVANEH (J.P.) and his company to remodel my home. Months after he finished the remodel, he sued me for not paying him in excess of the contracted amount. Before he sued me, and without notice, he filed a $40,000 lien on my property, which interfered with my efforts to sell the house. His attorney is his nephew and J.P. claims his legal services are provided for free; so if he doesn't get his way, he sues. It seemed like he and his nephew attorney have a lot of practice scamming homeowners this way. Remodeling a home is hard enough without having to deal with a fraudulent contractor. Skip this guy.

This is the attorney for Doran: The report filed by the reporter, conveniently leaves out the fact that Doran Construction prevailed on the lawsuit. The court found that the contract was breached by the consumer and ordered judgment against defendant. (Defendant was also represented by counsel). Doran only sued after months of trying to resolve this dispute and after being told off by the consumer.
