Complaint Review: drain rite plumbing - norco California

Drain rite came to my house on an unrelated business call. Since he was a plumber he offered to look at my garbage disposal which I had been struggling with, I accepted the offer said thank you and left to the store. When I returned home I found my house flooded. How did my garbage disposal turn into a slab leak. Johnny says can I get your insurance policy number  I will call and make your claim, you wont need to do a thing except start picking out your new tile, carpet, kitchen cabinets and 2 bathroom vanities. I did not get a contract for 3 days, but the trick is he has you sign it the first day and says he is waiting for claim number.

Well this never took place, instead 5 days later I am calling my insurance company for a claim number only to find out they had hired me a public adjuster. I had no idea that Drain Rite hired an insurance adjuster that would rehire them (Drain Rite) to do all the repairs. I was adamant that I did not hire a separate insurance adjuster to take over my claim. When my insurance company got the real report, they cancelled the claim placed by "my public adjuster" and reopened a new claim as vandalism and malicious mischief.

The conclusion to this story is these guys will do anything for a job, take control of your insurance company, have control of your claim money and still bill you for emergency call and leak detection.  My insurance company already paid them before they considered my claim as a vandalism. The damage they caused for excessive tear out came to 32,000 dollars (yes that is a 32 thousand) according to CSLB there are other homeowners with similar complaints.

The investigator on my behalf has checked into their history and saw a trail of the same situation throughout the past 2 years. They are doing further investigations. Since then Drain Rite has opened another company with a different name (which you can find out by going to CSLB) I assume this is to get out from the bad reviews on the original name (drain rite). Please beware these guys are out to make money from your insurance company. It took 4 months before I had dry wall back on my walls that were cut out from the floor to your knees throughout 75% of my house, I also had concrete floor for 4 months.

I had no kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanities. To me I will consider this an upgrade and remodel. thanks Drain Rite, I guess this is why you are getting a 1 star (since I have to put a star to submit this review. Its not worth it folks, please stay away from these master minded plumbers. My roommate that was trying to do me a favor still blames herself for this and she no longer socializes with them either.
