Dresbold and Dresbold Joel Dresbold Scam Artist Attorney-Buyer Beware Pgh, Pennsylvania
Joel Dresbold solicited me on legalmatch.com offering to take my case. He made sure he got my money and then showed no interest in the case. My experience with this attorney was absolutely horrible! He spent no time preparing for my case. He showed up to my hearing and asked me what the issue was 10 minutes prior to the hearing! He tried to take notes, but 10 minutes was not enough time to grasp what the problem was and as a result, he had no idea of how to proceed and I lost my case. This guy was rude and arrogant and acted like he did me a favor by taking my case! I told him I wanted to appeal the decision and he said I could not, which was a lie! I do not recommend him at all and urge potential clients to beware. He charges far below other attorneys because he's a below average attorney in my experience. He put forth no effort to win my case and I did not get what I paid for.

I knew I could lure you to respond in this forum. Thanks for your response even though it was a mediocre attempt to show you in a positive light.
So I'm irrational because I made a complaint about you...
Let's start with the obvious, you say I was totally wrong in this case and that I indeed owe the fees in question, YET you failed to share this with me and you took the case anyhow!!! Why didn't you tell me how you really felt in the consultation??? Because you knew you would not get hired and thus not paid. You just showed the world your TRUE colors by acknowledging that you ASSUMED I was guilty as charged, but you still took advantage of me and my situation. Isn't that a conflict of interest??? Had you told me this, I would not have hired you and this proves that you have no moral character and will do anything for money.
Secondly, the money allegedly owed was reduced from $881.50 to $276.00 due to MY testimony. You cannot take credit for the amount being reduced, because like you said, you already assumed I was guilty and accordingly did nothing to defend me. Once I saw that you were making no effort, I immediately went into action by asking the other party questions they could not answer and to produce signed agreements they did not have and that's how the amount got reduced from $881.50 to $276.00. If you owe someone $881.50, you owe them $881.50, no ifs, ands or buts about it. It does not get reduced for no reason. This proves that I didn't owe them what they claimed and what you assumed, so where is the overwhelming evidence you have that proves I am wrong in this matter??? Hmmm...
Thirdly, if I want to appeal the $276.00, who are you to call me an idiot and tell me to just accept it, pay it and move on? If I want to fight it, that is MY decision to make, not yours. What responsibility are you wanting me to accept??? Whose side are you on??? I paid you to be on my side and if that was something you could not do, you should not have solicited me on Legalmatch.com telling me how great your law firm is then proceed to take my money!!!
This case was not about the money to me, but about the principle. This school tried to blackmail me for an ADDITIONAL $800.00 for my child to graduate and thought I was going to be a good little girl and just pay it. This is America and I will fight for what I believe in whether it pleases you or not. It's a good thing I did appeal it because all they ended up with was 276.00 and not the 881.50 they claimed, so once again, where is the overwhelming evidence you have that says I'm wrong??? Hmmm...
Additionally, I am well within my rights to warn potential victims of your scam. I used your services and I am telling everyone and anyone who will listen and this is in no way to defame you. Any honest business would do everything possible to ensure superior customer service, but not you. You've gone out of your way to portray me as "irrational, cant accept the truth, never satisfied, and could not accept that she was wrong". Answer me this, why do you keep crying to legalmatch.com for them to remove my ratings of you? Only a guilty person would do that. I have left multiple of the same rating, but they keep getting removed. Why are you trying to shut me up??? I guess you will be begging and crying for this website to remove my comments too, huh???
Lastly, people do your research. There are scam operations out there masquerading as legitimate businesses and law firms are no exception. DON'T BE A VICTIM. I also recommend avoiding the website legalmatch.com as they are facilitating his scheme. I am proof that his 100% satisfied rating is a FRAUD. They keep removing the negative ones, so how can you trust either of them?
What is really unfortunate is that this person is in an opportunitstic position to take advantage of lots of people who may be desparate for help and vulnerable. I trusted this person to do a job and paid them immediately to do the job and what did I get? I got deception, ridicule, arrogance and disregarded and on top of that, he even stoops so low to call me names in his response and say that he agreed with the other party, but yet he still pretended to agree with me and lie to gain my trust and my business. Is this the type of individual you want to stand by your side while facing a matter that's of importance to you? Does this sound like a professional, outstanding member of the community to you?
All comments left by me is a matter of my opinion based on my experience with Joel Dresbold and I am excercising my right of free speech to communicate my experience to others.

It's sad but true that not everyone in the world is rational and not everyone is able to accept the truth even when overwhelming evidence is placed in front of her. For over 30 years Joel Dresbold and Dresbold & Dresbold, P.C. have been representing people who need our help. We make each case a priority and work hard on each case no matter how big or how small.
It is our mission to give our clients personal
service and to stay accessible to them. We will visit the client at the
client's house if necessary. We put our best efforts into every case no matter
how big or how small. We believe that every client should have an attorney
diligently working for them.
Unfortunately, as in all walks of life, there are clients who are never satisfied. In this particular case, the client was upset that her child's private school was charging her fees that she was not aware of. She was sued after refusing to pay the fee. Her case was heard by a local magistrate and she was ordered to pay $881.50. She chose to appeal and hired us to represent her at arbitration.
The allegation that we were not prepared for the arbitration was false. As our record would suggest we diligently prepare for every case. We put on as solid as a defense as the law and facts would allow, and ended up with an Order for her to pay only $276.00 of the money owed. Most people would have considered this a win, and we advised the client that she had the right to appeal but we would not advise it. The costs to file the appeal would have been more than what she was ordered to pay and in an appeal de novo she could end up owing more money if she lost the appeal. We did not hear from the client for four months and assumed that the matter was over.
We were then informed that a negative review had been posted. It's sad that in this day and age some people cannot accept responsibility for their actions and move on. The truth is this client owed money, she refused to pay, we were able to lessen the amount she owed, and still she could not accept that she was wrong. I hope that defaming a company and man that has had overwhelmingly positive outcomes for so long helps this client find whatever she is looking for.
