I would like to say thank you for your well thought out post. To many people come in hear and quite frankly hurt their cases by how or what they say. Thou many complaint are real they get lost in the self pitty. I to have a Drive Time car and have had many of the same problems. Many however I did expect at the time of purchase. They may be a national company, but that does not change the fact that they are still a note lot and well no one has ever had a great note lot story. If it is found that they mis represented the car then they should pay but too many complai that they had the car for 2 years and were "just days from paying it off" when the car stopped running. That saddly is not a valid complaint. That is simply the risk you take in purchasing a high milage car with unknown history. Were I get upset thou is that some responders seem to think that all that have bad credit are bad people. Some yes are just loosers and deserve what they get. Others like myself had it thrust on them due to astrinomical medical expenses that no one could over come. They tell you that medical does not count against you but it does. After the debt gets sold a time or two it no longer shows as medical but rather just a debt. Additionaly they do not take in acount that the hospitlization that cased that debt just might have pervented you from working thus causing the late payments. That is were the true problem is. In this age of computers and no human compation there is no oppertunity for judgment. Rather a computer tells the merchant that you are bad and they decline you or see some one with no choice but to bend over. The lender will tell you that to get the better rates you need to go ahead and take the loan offered and make your paments on time and that will help your credit score while giving you a rate that is so high that they know that you will at best make a last mayment if not defalt all to gether. If like I have done you manage to stay curent or head on your payment to the loan sharks they know that due to the high intrest rate you will never get ahead in the loan thus eliminating any chance of refinancing at a lower rate. It is simply what in the past was refered to as organized crime. Saddly the goverment that we trust to look out for us is instead in bed with the very sharks that threaten our safty and as such dismiss the reality by stating that these companies are providing a needed service to the comunity. A road if you may to recovery. My question to them is what is the success rate of credit impared consumes that have gone to thees becons of hope and come out beter for it. I would speculate they are few and far between. If a drug rehabe had a sucsess reate as low as the "credit rehabe" insttutions they would shut it down. Aditionaly they pass law to infact protect the drug addict but permote the sinsless discrimnation against the cridt inpared. That to me is the true injustice. The truth is no mater your credit the auto industry is the biggest cons in the world and they know we can do nothing about it because we need cars. I sent a few weeks when I was younger in the industry but I has dignity and ran. What I did learn scared me and made me realize the there are three typs of people in this world... People-Criminals- and Car sales men The ciminals at least have hope of recovery but car sales men have no soal thus no hope. In i sick twist of fate I almost feel sorry for them because most of them are to blind sto see how evil they realy are.
