I have been a customer of Dynamotive since the early seventies, before the present owner bought it. I have always been treated with respect and have received service beyond the call of duty. I drive a 2002 Camry which I bought from a dealer where the service manager is the owner's brother-in-law! I warned the dealer that I would have ALL my service done by Dynamotive since I trust them implicitly, and have not had good experiences with auto dealers. My car developed a heater problem, which I didn't recognize until the warranty period was over. Dynamotive took 3 days to find the problem, fixed it, and charged me less than half what they would have had to charge if they counted all the hours they spent on it. I'm sure I came out ahead because I'm convinced the dealer would just have kept replacing parts until the problem was solved. My bill came to around $1200. I sent my friend to Dynamotive. He has a Ford Thunderbird, and had been to 3 or 4 garages to fix his heater problem. None of them fixed it; the last mechanic said it was unfixable! Dynamotive fixed it, and charged only $200. Dynamotive did warn him that if the problem needed fixing in the future, the whole heater core would need replacing, an expensive proposition. It seems unrealistic to expect this garage to install a new battery, change the oil, check the circuits, and not charge for labour! Fred should get a reality check...
