East Inflatables China fraudulant shipping charges China
I purchased an inflatable bounce house from East Inflatables located in China. The price was great, shipping charges nominal ($250) and staff friendly. Everything was all spelled out in the invoice East Inflatables e-mailed me, or so I thought...
East Inflatables e-mailed me the day they loaded my shipment onto the ship in China. They decided that would be a good time to inform me I would have to get a Customs company in New York to handle the import of my shipment. They told me the fee would be anywhere from $75-$125. They also told me if I did not contact a Customs agent that US Customs would fine me no less than $5000.
I contacted the Customs agent promptly to learn the actual fee would be closer to $500 including an additional shipping charge.
I was then contacted by the shipping company direct, stating to obtain my shipment I would have to pay them an additional $331.
So what started out as a $1,187 bill INCLUDING shipping, ending up costing me over $2000. And almost 2 months later, I still do not have my shipment.
I contacted East Inflatables stating my case. They said they have nothing to do with the additional fees I incured. I explained to them that there omision of charges was fraudulant. I requested the "shipping charges" they charged me refunded. They denied my request, and told me to "Have a nice day".
I contacted paypal, and because the transaction was more than 45 days old, there is nothing they can do. How convienent that East Inflatables took over 1 month to even ship my order, now going on 2 months.
