Echo Trans World Inc. acted fraudulently & severly damaged/lost car/furniture $50,000 New York New York
Echo Trans World Inc. lied to me in order to get my business. They told me I would not have to go to Vera Cruz to sign my car through customs which was the reason I changed movers to Echo Trans World Inc. When it was too late to change back to my original mover, they told me I would indeed have to fly to Vera Cruz.
The packers would not come to my house to check size of shipment. The packers abused me verbally and brought me to tears. They were totally incompetent in packing. They left garbage all over the house. They would not mark the cartons as requested. (Mexican law requires each carton to be marked with contents.)
Echo Trans World Inc. lied in several different areas, ie. Shipping costs, Shipping process, Delivery location, Insurance etc. They swore at me using the "F" word because I challenged their honesty. Because my house sold I had to move right away and was at Echo Trans World Inc.'s mercy.
I insured the move for over $50,000.00 and was assured by Echo Trans World Inc. that I would be covered totally for any damage or loss of my personal property. The container collapsed at sea and the insurance would not cover it because they said the shipment was poorly packed therefore the contents shifted and everything was damaged.
My mother, who moved with me, saw my dining room table arrive in over 25 pieces and had a stroke. She died a few months later. The stress and heartache Echo Trans World Inc. caused my cannot be put into words.
They offered to pay me if I would sign a disclaimer but when I refused they would not communicate with me at all. Echo's representative in Mexico had promised to help me with the insurance claim, as he was aware of the container collapse. When I refused to sign the disclaimer he would not communicate with me as well.
