Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

On 3/16 I ordered the ECig4free trial offer Starter Kit in an attempt to make my smoking a little safer. They claim that smoking an 'E Cigarette' is better than regular cigarettes because you are not getting all the toxins that occur when a cigarette is burned.

On 3/17 my checking account was debited $9.95 for the shipping and handleing charges, which I had expected and did not mind.

While waiting for the 'ECig' to arrive, I had a regular doctors appointment and was advised by her to NOT USE this type of product due to other health issues I have and am being treated for. (i.e. Heart problems, Hypertension...)

I went to the ECigs4Free website and searched around until I found the 'Terms and Conditions' at the bottom of the page. What a shock !! If I did not wish to keep the ECig product I must follow the following proceedure: First, get a RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization #) from thier customer service rep, send the product back to Tempe, Az. And I had 10 days to do this. That's 10 days from the initial order date!!, 3/16.

I also found out that I had been enrolled in a 'Auto Refill' program that would send me refill cartridges every month and take the money out of my account each month!!

Anyway, I did all this (Got the RMA, shipped it back to them by FedEx in Tempe,Az, put all the required info on the outside of the package, and informed them I wanted to stop the Auto Refill Program.) on the same day I recieved it, 3/19.

The customer service rep I spoke to even told me he was giving me an additional 10 days from date of purchase to get it all done!!

According to the FedEx Tracking, they recieved it in Arizona on 3/23 at 9:55am, well within the deadline.

Thinking myself safe, I relaxed and was glad I got out of it with just the $9.95 S&H charge and the $15.96 FedEx cost to return it. Boy, was I wrong !!!

Last night, on 3/28, I checked my online checking account statement as I routinely do. There are TWO WITHDRAWALS posted for $149.90 EACH, paid to ECig4Free !! That's $299.80 ILLEGALLY STOLEN FROM ME !!

I contacted my bank first thing this morning (3/29) and was told I had to go through the Charge Dispute Process. It looks like I may be lucky in that my bank and Mastercard (the card I used for the 'Free Trial') have a policy to credit my account back the two $149.90 charges since I have everything so well documented, and since they have already had dealings with this company before and are aware of it's shady business tactics.

BE CAREFULL !! Check into any company before doing business with them. My bank even sugessted this site (Ripoff Report) as one of the best to get the info on a company BEFORE you do anything. The Better Business Bureau is also a good place to research any past complaints against companies.

I will update this when and if the money is credited back to me, or if I hear from the ECig4Free company - I still have been unable to reach them. I get the message, " Please call back during business hours, PST" then get hung up on. Will let you all know...

contact and file an official complaint with the Arizona BBB and the Arizona Office of the Attorny General (Terry Goddard). They will not investigate unless all the people that have been ripped off by them file an offical complaint. I did both, this morning and found that their were plenty of phone call complaints, but unless an offical written complaint is filed, they will keep getting away with ripping us off. BBB 602-264-1721 Call them or get on the BBB website and the AGO Website and file complaint!
