Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This company will hiring you and tell you that you don't have a boss and that you can run your office within 12 months but really it is just to juice you up to work hard and make the company money. They give you quotas that's y most of their sales reps lie to the customers because of pressure. They train one thing to say to customers in office but when the clients(Direct Energy) is coming to office they tell you to go by the books. So watch out when looking for a job and you come to EGC Ltd(Direct Energy)

THEY LIE TO ITS WORKERS AND THEY LIE TO ITS CUSTOMERS. BEWARE OF DIRECT ENERGY COMING TO YOUR DOORS.

To everyone,
I think it all depends on who you are directly hired by and who you directly work under. I think location changes circumstances as well. I have been working with the company in New York, I have always recieved payment on time, have already been promoted, and have done my research - our rates in N.Y are lower than our competitors. Trust me I did military service, so I know what I am talking about as far as doing research about the company I work for. I knew everything about this business before I took the job. I will be praying for any new employees in any location that you all work out well and move up quick. And for any consumers I apologize for any representative out there from our company who did not fully explain the program offers. May everyone have a good day.
 Sincerely,
   AJ

I can't argue with the fact that they did, "hiring me and told me that..." but I can say work ethic causes quotas to appear. I never had a quota when in the field for all of 2008 considering more applications meant bigger paychecks. In turn, was promoted to run my own client in well under 12 months. When I was promoted, I learned how much each signing was worth and found out that EGC, LTD. made a significant amount less than any similar company I know of in the midwest due to paying a higher amount per. As for Direct Energy, I completely agree. I personally refuse to work with them and explain why on the 2009 complaint. The rebuttal stated this...
------------------------------------
This is why EGC, LTD. cut Direct Energy as a client and took a hit financially. I have been with the company since almost the beginning and as far as I could see, Direct Energy refused to practice two basic business cornerstones; professionalism and integrity. Hence the ugly separation and new clients. EGC, LTD. and all offices promoted from it, refuse to sign with Direct Energy and one other similar supplier.
------------------------------------
When starting a company from nothing, bad clients happen. Just like starting in a kitchen you want to be a chef for but lack experience. You start as a dishwasher working your way to the better position by scouring through the dirt and leftovers.

Hi,

I was SLAMMED by this company when deregulation went into effect in Houston TX, several years ago. I did not like this company; after one month I switched over to another electric company.

They say I owe over $1000.00 (to a debt collector). There is NO WAY that is even possible! We're talking about ONE MONTH of service from them that I neither asked for nor wanted! (Never signed anything)

This has become a big issue on my credit report, and I am fed up. I have already disputed it with the credit bureau, to no avail.

If you have any suggestions as to how I can get them off my back and out of my hair, and especially OFF my C. R. I would greatly appreciate it!!

Everything in your statement about this company is 100% true and i imagine you are or did work for the company i worked there for almost a year and would love to know who you are descreetly of course because knowing the people at this company if they found out who you are they would more than likely try to haraas you in some way id love to hear more from you. I know exactly what you went through I was one of the few people who did end up running my own office and you think that being an agent was a lot of BS and lies and change try actually getting what they promise everybody the day they walk in the door. Consider yourself lucky you didnt get an office. they made me try to run an office of 25 people with no desks, no boards, no phones, no computers, no supplies just an empty office with a table in it. and eventually fired my partner because he didnt live up to what they wanted when myself and he exceeded the guidlines set when we moved to that office in half the time. All of this because HE wants as much money for himself as he can possibly get and you know who I am talking about.

Im glad i found this post because it really helped me get a lot off of my chest about EGC Ltd.

as for direct energy if they knew the things EGC did when they werent looking they would save themselves a lot of headache
