Elance.com downgraded my "Professional" account to "Basic" account due to insufficient fund in my Paypal account. It happened without prior notice nor warning. I did not even have a chance to change my billing info.

In addition to that, all my 119 "Connects" that I previously purchased with my "Professional" account were taken away from me due to the downgrade. The 119 "Connects" worth about $55 USD.

I spoke with their representative, and he said they were unable to charge me for the next billing cycle due to my lack of funding in my Paypal account. And those 119 "Connects" were never supposed to roll over to the next billing cycle, even if they did not downgrade my account. Such policy was never stated anywhere in the purchase process, and I was always under the impression that I could keep those "Connects" until I use them up.

I am upset. Therefore, I am stating my case here, and hope someone can help. $55 is not a whole lot of money, but it's a matter of right and wrong. I don't believe anyone would like to be ripped off like that.
