My credit report list that we have a $220,000 mortgage w/Fairbanks Capital Corp. We do not!

I am unable to close on a mortgage refinance because Fairbanks will not forward the necessary information to the credit company, me or my loan officer.

I contacted Fairbanks three times by phone, twice by fax and once by mail to correct this. Today, I called Fairbanks again explaining my predicament. They told me to fax their research department again. I said I don't have up to 60 days to wait for them to rectify this. I have to close on my mortgage or lose my interest rate.

Today I spoke with several people to no avail. They say I have to fax my request to Research, it can take up to 60 days. I wanted to talk to someone there so they could speed it up and they claim no one can take calls there. Just frustrating!!!!!!!!!!

Lorraine, You are dealing with a crooked company. I have had one issue after another. Here are some numbers you can call. First call the Michigan Attorney Generals office 517-373-3470 ask for Marsha Miller she's the one I spoke to. Tell them what's going on and tell them you want forms to file a formal complaint. Calll HUD Inspector General 1 800 347 3735 They are handling complaints against FairBanks as the are under investigation. Explain to them whats going on. The next 2 numbers are Consumer affairs at FairBanks Kim Waldron 904-722-7701 or Mary Budde 801-293-2580. When you call be sure and tell them you got this number from Michigans Attorney General of Finance and Insurance and then tell them what is going on and what you need from them. Good Luck and don't give up. Also file a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission. I hope it works out for you.
