This company is a total rip off. I am a single mother who was relocating to NJ from FL. They quote a price and then arrive to move your belongings and double the price and damage your home!!

Here is an email I wrote: I have been trying to get in touch with a person from management since Friday morning. I was quoted for a move from Titusville, FL to Manalapan, NJ by your customer representative Amber. After Amber and I
went over my inventory item by item, she gave me a quote for $1,717.50.

The inventory list was incorrect, and was quoted for more items than we actually had moved by your company.  Amber has listed below a shop vac (which we never had listed as inventory) and two dining chairs which we decided not to bring with us. She also estimated us to have five dish boxes, when your movers only packed two for us. I reviewed the box sizes
and dimensions with her, to ensure what we counted as a medium or large box was the same standards as what your company used. We also gave dimensions of furniture that we had to ensure the most accurate estimate possible. We did have 3 extra medium boxes that we did not have on the inventory list. We understood that the estimate would be slightly off
due to the three extra boxes, but we also had removed the two dining chairs and had the shop vac on our estimate. Amber and I had multiple email correspondences and telephone calls to establish the most accurate inventory list.

Amber assured us that you did not contract out your moves, and when your movers arrived, the truck had a different moving company's name on it. They arrived at 6:30AM and were very inconsiderate of the neighbors in our apartment complex. We had to request multiple times that they shut the engines of their trucks and keep their noise to a minimum since
they were extremely loud. When they were packing the inventory and loading it out to the truck, they were very careless. They scratched and dented multiple walls in our apartment. They also damaged paint by using the walls as a place to hold their tape while they wrapped furniture. One of the movers stepped in dog feces, and walked through our apartment with it on his shoes, ruining our rugs which will cause us to lose a large portion of any remaining deposit after deductions are made for the damage to the walls.

We were told that the movers would take apart all furniture and will reassemble it upon delivery.  Your movers arrived
without any tools to use to take apart furniture and were unable to take apart a basic bed frame. The movers did not ask for permission to use our tools, but just helped themselves to my belongings, as well as water bottles from my refrigerator. My boyfriend had to take apart the bed frame, which was a service we had paid for.

The movers also boxed items that were on the inventory list in individual boxes (that were not filled to capacity) causing us to have more boxes than were listed on the inventory.  They boxed two small shelves that are part of our TV stand (approximately one foot by two feet) in two large boxes and sealed them. These two shelves could have easily fit into one medium box. The child's bicycle was placed in a box and sealed as well. We also had intended to place the pillows and
blankets from the apartment into the drawers of the dressers and hamper (as Amber advised us to do). The movers grabbed them and packed them in four large boxes and sealed them as well. We did not request for our blankets to be packed for us, and this caused additional boxes that were not necessary.

The men who were loading the truck, who provided poor service, then had the audacity to request a gratuity payment from us. We had intended to tip each of the movers, but after the poor service was provided and a mover rudely asked us for a tip, we quickly changed our minds.

When we spoke to the movers, he advised us (after half of the truck was already half way loaded) that the move was going to be more expensive than what we were quoted for.  I was very uneasy about this, considering we moved less than what was given to Amber on the inventory list and we had worked very hard to make sure our inventory list was accurate. After the mover advised me that the cost of the move was going to DOUBLE (at least), we became livid. We had another moving
company do an onsite binding quote for $2100 (assuring us that we would not pay any more than that since the estimator took dimensions of all inventory) and decided to cancel the deposit with them to use your company since your quote was cheaper. The mover told us that Amber used the cheapest quote possible to ensure our booking and her commission
payment. This shows very poor business practices. If your customer has a concern or problem, you don't spread blame to other parties in the company. You address their issues. After requesting to speak to management, I was told the mover could not get in touch with anyone from management since it was too early in the morning, and I had to wait until 9:00AM to speak with someone.  They continued to load our belongings on to the truck. The guy who was supervising the movers, I
believe his name was Avi, then showed us another customers moving quote and inventory list where the customer was quoted approximately $3,000, and the moving bill was actually over $15,000. He advised me that a low and inaccurate estimate was something that occurred frequently with Finest Movers, Inc. After the truck was fully loaded, I was told the
move was going to be $3,300.00. That was more than double of what I was quoted for.  I paid the movers $1,700 cash upon them leaving, which is in addition to my deposit of $429.25. I was left with a mess in my apartment, and no help from your company. I can understand an estimate increasing or decreasing a small amount, but to increase more than double the estimate, with no changes in inventory is just proof that your business intends to rip people off. It is poor business practices
and the Better Business Bureau will be notified.

I attempted to contact Amber at 9AM, with no response. Multiple calls to Amber continued, until I received a call back at 12:30PM on Friday.  She then advised me that a manager would be contacting me within the next few minutes.  After over an hour had passed without a return call, I called again.  Finally at 3:10 on Friday, I received a call from a manager.  I explained my concerns with this manager, and she advised me that the only manager who could help me was out of the office due to surgical procedures, but to email this email address and someone would return my call.  My inventory is scheduled for delivery tomorrow morning at 10AM. I need a return call before this delivery to straighten out the issues and payments. I am very disappointed with Finest Movers and the services they failed to provide me during my move.

I continued to attempt to contact the moving company prior to my delivery and finally got an answer  three days later.  The general manager cursed at me and used intimidation tactics to tell  me that he does not have time for my "bullsh*t" issues and I will pay the amount or I will pay for them to store my belongings and I will not see them again.
