Our FirstData rep, Mary Connell, met with us once. She rushed us a POS system that is overpriced, unreliable, and repeatedly crashes. We are stuck with a four year lease on equipment suitable for a landfill.
Their fees are seedy. New fees show up constantly on our statements. Mary Connell is marginally responsive. However, Connell lacks the basic competency, intelligence, and experience to answer detailed questions about the contract and the fees.
Our approach with these clowns is to CONSTANTLY email, fax, and mail complaints to them and become a perpetual irritant.
In short, avoid FirstData! They are unable to support small business. Check with neighboring small biz owners first to get recommendations on a good merchant service.
