Any one thinking about dealing with First Marine or Charles Hurst Sr. or Jr. should think twice. They sold me a personal watercraft and mislead me to belive that they were selling me a sound machine. In reality the motor is blown and needs $1100 worth of work. When I spoke to them to request that they take it back in the same condition that I bought it in. They told me they had gotten over on me and it was really my problem since they had already spent my money. I bought it within the last month and have never been able to ride it. I took it in to have the motor looked over as they did explain to me that there were some minor problems with it. It being prime boating season, it took the mechanic a couple of weeks to get to it. Any one wishing to hire them for marine construction work should think twice also. They act like they are a decent sized company but in reality it is just a guy and his son who can't keep employees. The run a continuous ad for employees on a weekly basis. The reason being is they are scam artists who probably don't pay their employees. Why else wouldn't they be able to keep at least one other worker besides theirselves. They may perform good work I am not sure I am just speaking from experience these two are con men at their finest. Do not buy anything from these people. I had heard a complaint from someone else also that they use reject materials for the jobs that they do. I guess I will have to end up taking them to small claims court. It is a shame that there are people out there that are so shady. You should always remember that you should treat people the same way you would want to be treated. Some day hopefully they will encounter some one as under handed as them and then they can see how it feels to be ripped off.

Thank you for the "Friendly Advice". However I never signed and "as is agreement". Also the individual that sold it is the owner of the company. All of my information in this report is factual. If it was not it would be considered libel not slander. My information however is not based on hearsay. It is indeed factual and the owner will need to disprove my claims in order for it to be considered libel. I however can prove my claims. However as I said thank you for your "friendly advice".

It would appear to me that this issue is with an individual, and not a corporation. Just a friendly suggestion, but you may want to use caution when slandering a business based upon hearsay. If this corporate entity sold this machine in any condition other than "as-is", and you have a signed document stating the condition of this machine and the terms of sale, then you are acting within your rights as a consumer. However, if this was a deal between individuals, then this type of report could very well be considered slander, which is punishable by law. Friendly Advice---
