Florin Pena - [email protected] Fraudulent Seller ripoff publishes items on ebay at really low price then demands for payment asap thru western union On Ebay It Says There That Seller Is From New York But Address Where The Payment Should Be Sent Is In Romania New York, Romania
I saw from ebay multiple entries for cellphones on sale at really low price. It was under the seller name Jaattik who, aside from cellphones also has trading cards, bracelets, etc. listed under its name. Jaattick, based on testimonials, had a good record of transacting business.
So I dediced to look at the cellphones. When I clicked on an item to display the details, it indicated there that item location is New York and to contact seller regarding payment method. Seller also gave instruction not to contact the seller through ebay because the mailbox is full and wont be able to reply. The seller provided a separate email instead - [email protected].
So I contacted seller via the aol address and inquired about the cost of the phones if I buy and not bid. Seller gave me price list and said that payment is only through western union. I suggested a more secure payment method but seller insisted on western union. We had exchange of emails but each time, seller would demand that I pay in an hour, then 20 mins even without asking for my order. And then seller gave me the details on where to send the payment to:

Country : Romania
That was when I doubted seller.
I went back to ebay because I found it odd that Jaattick has good rating but he's also into fraud?
When I checked the listings again , the multiple entry of cellphones were not there anymore, but all other items (cards, bracelets, etc) were! When I clicked on the details of the remaining items, location indicated was Illinois and payment method accepted were credit cards and paypal.
I realized that probably Jaattick and the seller are 2 different people. Probably Jaattick was not even aware of the cellphone listings that were under his name. Probably seller was able to get into Jaattick's ebay store/listings and added seller's cellphone list leaving seller's aol address to avoid communication with/knowledge of Jaattick. And then deleted the cellphone listings when somebody (me) found it and showed interest.

The same thing happened to me, except I got burned for a little less than you. Anyways, I paid via Visa Credit Card. I was wondering if you knew if there was any way that we could dispute payment through our credit card..and if that would actually work? Tim
