Freedom Sales, Inc. Corvette Miller UNDERPRIVILEGED SELLING MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS SCAM Houston, Texas
On May 3, 2011 a man came to our home who identified himself as "Corvette Miller". He had laminated identification documents and said that he was selling magazine subscriptions for Freedom Sales, Inc. which provides housing for underprivileged families. He told me it was just he and his daughter and for every sale he makes it gets him closer to his goal of being provided with housing for a year.
I purchased a single magazine subscription -- National Geographic for Kids -- at a total cost of $37. I paid with a check. The check was cashed by Mr. Miller on May 11, 2011. It is now December 13, 2011 and I have never received the magazines.
I've called and done contact submissions through the Freedom Sales, Inc. website. No one answers the phone, returns calls, or responds via email. I've reported them to the BBB.
